Recharge

Yesterday, I was so drained when I returned from my communications workshop, that I completely forgot to post . . . technically, however, it was only a half-day, so perhaps I can be excused for forgetting.

That leads into a very important bit of advice–recharge. This idea has never really been lost on me . . . in fact, I think I may take it to extremes at times. But, in any case, it's always a good idea to make time for whatever gives you joy. As I will be officially starting school on Monday, this weekend's relaxation time is particularly important.

I plan to go to the beach later, but this morning I was very excited to do a little bit of gardening. My project was to turn an old pair of ski boots into planters for my deck. I love the way they turned out–pretty and unusual (especially for Malibu), and it reminds me of one of the things that brings me the most joy . . . skiing!
