Sunday Evening

I've never really liked Sundays . . . for me, they've always marked the end of fun and relaxation and the beginning of schedules and work. I think this attitude is mostly a product of procrastinating on my homework as a kid. And, now that I'm in grad school, it's not really all that different. But, as I've gotten older, I've learned to appreciate the close to the weekend, without dwelling on what's ahead.

Yesterday was particularly beautiful. And even though it was the last Sunday of my vacation (before my final fall semester), I did a pretty good job of soaking up the summer day. I spent a few hours at the beach, where I finished one of my summer beach reads, The 19th Wife, and then took a few minutes (not too long!), getting organized for the week. After that, a glass of wine and delicious chicken karaage!
